COMPARATIVE STUDY

The Comparative Study attempted to disentangle a compound mixture of concepts and actions to show where progress is strong in the non-formal learning sector, where it is hampered by institutional, local or transnational constraints and where areas of co-operation may lead to greatest change. The STEP project built upon previous core principles of the CrossWorker project (2006-8), which enabled Youth at Risk an opportunity to avoid social exclusion and increase the possibility of education and employment.  The Comparative Study considers the transfer of the CrossWorker model to the non-formal learning sector within creative organisations embracing the creative and cultural industries, to engage and equip young people with creative talents, but also mentoring Competencies to support peer groups.
